Why is my own monitor data different than my public monitor data?

I only have 1 sensor, but it shows my own monitor data and my public monitor data. The public monitor data always differs from my own monitor data.

For example, my public monitor data is 53, whereas my own monitor data is 65

Is this due to a delay between my own data and the public data or is there another factor?

Thank you.

Hi @Rick, welcome to our community!

This is likely caused by the different approach to how the data is processed and displayed on the Map and your personal dashboard. The data you see on your personal dashboard usually has custom calibration applied (including factory calibration), but the data that is shown on the map is treated differently.

  • Map currently provides raw as well as EPA calibrated data. Custom calibrations are not reflected in order to ensure consistency on the map and as a result there might be differences between the map and your dashboard.
