Security: restrict AirGradient one to certain IP's

Hello there and I hope you have a nice day!

My AirGradient one does behave strangely these days. It sometimes looses connection to your servers, sometimes the display is totally garbled and sometimes the “lower LED brightness on night times” fails and it checks at least 4 times a day for firmware updates, which is strange too.

I fear that I have a security issue, so I just want to be sure. Can you give me the IP’s the monitor should be allowed to make connections to (you)?

For now I isolated the device from all other LAN devices, but I really want to restrict the monitor to only the IP’s it needs to connect to serve your dashboard with data and collect updates if needed.

Thank you for providing some data points to make the device more secure!

Have a nice day!

Hi @Rev,

Our server IP is 91.98.9.143.

With that said, the loss of connection is likely related to a recent firmware bug (you can read more here: Help Us with the Wi-Fi Issue of Firmware 3.6.0 - #63 by Tai_AirGradient) that should be fixed sometime this week.

Regarding the other issues, I would be happy to look into these if you would like. Please reach out to me at support@airgradient.com with the serial number of your device and I can take a look into this.

Thank you for the IP address, Ethan!

I sent you an email about the issues with the serial number. But it looses the connection every day now, I guess the firmware update will fix that?

Is there a way of a reconfiguration without a reset of the devices wifi by the way? (I want to set it to a different vlan or IP range to isolate it from my main LAN.)

Hi @Rev,

I replied to your ticket earlier today. I will continue the conversation there since there are a few things that need to be addressed here
