I recently purchased and commissioned an AirGradientOne. The relative humidity reading is consistently ~10% higher than the two other different brand hygrometers located in the same room. The other two hygrometers typically show readings within 1 or 2% of each other. I searched the forums and found an older post about RH discrepancies for outdoor sensors, but I don’t see any recent posts or discussion about indoor RH. Could my unit be defective, or is this a known issue and I’m just not searching the forums correctly?
That’s pretty unusual for the indoor units. In my experience the ONE’s temperature and humidity readings are normally very accurate and usually line up.
Have you tried co-locating the ONE directly next to one of your other hygrometers for at least an hour and seeing if the readings still differ by 10%? I would also make sure the ONE isn’t near a window, vent, heater, or humidifier, since the onboard sensor responds quickly and will show local micro-climate effects.
Maybe reach out to us via the support form here with the serial number: https://www.airgradient.com/support/, in case you continue seeing the differences. I’d like to have a closer look at the dashboard settings as well.
