I have work experience in visualization and I prefer density dots to clustering as well as the other options.

No problem. Clustering may not be the best solution, but it does work. I find that in visualization the “best” option is highly dependent on the data itself. I suspect density dots will be a better solution, but the proof would be trying it out with the actual data (the tool is POI data which is different).
