Old PCB v3.1 Build?

Back in the day, I had the V2 version and ordered two kits for the PCB V3.1.

I built one V3.1 and had planned to upgrade my V2 to V3.1, but never got around to it. Now, I’m thinking of doing it today (or maybe more tomorrow).

I couldn’t find the instructions for the V3.1, but I did find this: The AirGradient DIY Air Quality Sensor (Pro Version PCB Version 3.7) (Removed since I can’t post link, but see below), which seems pretty close but lacks the USB-C connector.

I believe I have everything I need except for the PMS cables and connectors—though I could solder those to the board like with the V2, as the PCB appears to have those connectors
and a D1 Mini Battery Shield for USB power connection, since this version doesn’t have USB-C.

One more thing I’m unsure about is the firmware—will the one for versions >3.7 work?

This looks like the instructions for your board, since it is prior to 3.7

The AirGradient DIY Air Quality Sensor (Pro Version PCB Version < 3.7)

Using USB to the D1 should be fine if you can route the cable through one of the case holes so it can stay plugged in. You could use the battery shield, but it shouldn’t be necessary.

I don’t recall what changed on the board versions, but the software listed on that page should work, or if you are adventurous, you could also look at ESPHome and the configuration files there which are still being updated through the ESPHome project.

Oops, my bad—I had a few pages open and copied the wrong one!

I’ll give that a try. I just wish I could find my old Arduino project so I could push the same configuration again! :frowning:

Thanks a lot !
