Old AirGradient ONE – Wi-Fi connected but LEDs keep flashing red/blue
Hi,
I recently got an AirGradient monitor, but I’m not sure about the exact model or hardware revision. It seems to be a fairly old version.
After powering it on, I went through the Wi-Fi setup. From my router, I can see that the device successfully connects to Wi-Fi and gets an IP address. However, the LEDs on the board keep alternating between red and blue, so it looks like something is not configured or working correctly.
I opened the enclosure and found that it uses an ESP32-WROVER-E. I also tried connecting the USB-C port to my computer, hoping I could flash or at least get serial logs from it, but the computer doesn’t detect any USB/serial device. The USB-C port does power the unit.
Does anyone know what the red/blue alternating LEDs mean on this older model, and whether there is any way to get debug logs from it?
If the original firmware is no longer usable, is there a way to flash newer/custom firmware onto this board?
Thanks!
