How to find the DIY board's serial number?

Hello - I know that this is the “chip ID” of the Wemos D1 mini - but I have no idea how to find it!

I have the board fully in the case, and can’t see any numbers on the D1 mini itself.

Where specifically should I be looking - and is there a way to find this number without looking on the chip itself?

Sorry this is my first foray into arduino boards and I am very new to this.

Hi Sean,

I encountered the same problem last week.

As you’ve probably already found by now, the ChipID and Serial Number are also the numeric suffix on the Wifi network’s SSID that it creates when it boots.
