Airgrafient Display goes blank even when all options set to ON

Display goes blank, do not have an exact time but usually the next day after a REBOOT.

Display Setting are:
Day Time Brightness = 50%
Night Time Brightness = 30%

Switch off display from 2am to 3am every night to extend the lifetime of the display. = UNCHECKED

Changing these values and saving them does not wake up the display.
Also does not seem to change the setting when Dis[play is ON.
Display values changes only when Power OFF/Power ON is initiated.

Pulling the power from the unit and restarting = Display at configuered brightness

Hi @andrewp, welcome to our community.

The issue you mentioned sounds like a conflict between local configuration (Home Assistant, for example) VS. cloud configuration (AirGradient dashboard).

If that’s the case. You might want to check if the LED brightness in HA is 0 or if there’s an automation set to perform this.

If not, would you mind checking the monitor’s configuration by using a web browser (like Chrome) and access this URL (with your phone/PC connected to the same Wi-Fi as the monitor): http://airgradient_xxxxxxxxxxxx.local/config

Please replace the xxxxxxxxxxxx with your monitor’s serial number.

Thanks!

Myairgradiant came up as esp32c3-025xxx.local.

Response was:

{“country”:“AU”,“pmStandard”:“ugm3”,“ledBarMode”:“co2”,“abcDays”:8,“tvocLearningOffset”:12,“noxLearningOffset”:12,“mqttBrokerUrl”:"",“temperatureUnit”:“c”,“configurationControl”:“both”,“postDataToAirGradient”:true,“ledBarBrightness”:25,“displayBrightness”:50,“offlineMode”:false,“model”:“I-9PSL-DE”,“monitorDisplayCompensatedValues”:false,“disableCloudConnection”:false,“corrections”:{“atmp”:{“correctionAlgorithm”:“none”,“slr”:null},“rhum”:{“correctionAlgorithm”:“none”,“slr”:null}},“httpDomain”:"",“offlineMode”:null,“extendedPmMeasures”:false}

This matches what is setup in: AirGradient

It is the OLED display that goes blank, LEDs are fine.

BTW checking/unchecking “Switch off display from 2am to 3am every night to extend the lifetime of the display.” did not help.

Next time the OLED screen goes blank during the day I am going to do a factory reset.

I do not have Home Assistant or any other automation tool talking to this node.

regards

@andrewp Thank you for providing the info.

Would you mind contacting us via https://www.airgradient.com/support and providing the monitor’s serial number?

Please add a note that it is for me (Tai), I’m happy to help you investigate this issue.

Thank you!
