I received my AirGradient Go about a month ago and I love it (especially when it was fully working)! I decided to make a YouTube video after asking on Reddit if there was any interest considering there were no first impressions YouTube videos. Tai recommended I post on here too, so here it is!

Considering I’ve never used a portable air quality monitor before this one, here’s a short version of my first impressions so far:

It seems to be a straight up improvement from the AirGradient One in almost all regards, including the reason I got it, it’s easily portable. I might only recommend the Go even if someone is looking for only a stationary monitor.

The customer support has been amazing so far as I’ve asked questions and reported some minor bugs.

There are some software bugs and inconveniences at the moment. Though I am confident the more important ones will be fixed.

I can use it stationary like the One or portably with a fairly easy transition. It would be awesome if I could switch the mode from the phone app or even automatically switch when losing WiFi connection.

It’s frictionless to use it while charging/stationary or while moving in my house because I don’t need to change the mode to portable while on WiFi.

Tracking routes is super cool and I can see loads of awareness coming from this feature.

The battery is enough to basically track my whole day as a route with all of the sensors enabled.

I can now be that air quality nerd that walks around tracking every unknown location like I’m tracking and catching Pokemon. I hope more people join the movement of air quality nerds

In all seriousness, I can see this being a huge benefit to the world, especially when it comes to studying and identifying air quality problems to get them more easily addressed over time.
