What does the “reduction” percentage mean in the dashboard?
PM2.5 reduction inside vs outside in %.
Hey @RQQQQQ @marksidell!
On the AirGradient dashboard, ‘Reduction’ refers to the difference in PM2.5 values between indoor and outdoor air quality. It indicates how much the PM2.5 concentration decreases when moving from outside to inside, helping users assess the effectiveness of air filtration or ventilation systems.
For example, if the outdoor PM2.5 level is 50 µg/m³ and the indoor level is 20 µg/m³, the reduction would be 30 µg/m³. This metric is useful for understanding how well indoor environments are protected from outdoor air pollution.
Thanks for the reply. I understand the concept in general. I was asking what the difference is between the two values highlighted in my attached screenshot. Thanks.

Sorry for delay!
The reduction you see at the top is the average reduction calculated from all your outdoor locations. The one at the bottom represents the reduction for a specific location.(in the Indoor Locations table)
However, it seems strange because the number at the bottom appears to be incorrect. I need to double check that.
Could you please contact our support and mention Yehor Petrov (me) to handle your request? I will take a closer look at this.
