UK delivery
At the end of January I ordered an AG One. Delivery was quick - 10 days including the order and delivery dates.
I recently ordered the AG One kit, again with quick delivery - 9 days including the order and delivery dates.
I was assuming that I’d have to pay VAT and the VAT collection charges (no custom duties), to be paid for before delivery. However there were no charges to pay on either of them. I’m not sure why. If buying an AG for UK delivery, it is probably best to mentally prepare for the fact that there will be VAT to pay at 20% of the total price (AG + $25 p&p) paid. Luckily delivery to the UK is via Thai post and Royal Mail and RM only charge £8 for collecting, unlike the high collection fees that other carriers may charge.
I was originally wary of buying the AGs from abroad for the following reason (in this order):
- Potentially no viable guarantee or expensive returns if the AG was faulty (understandably, there is no guarantee for the kit)
- Uncertainty about the amount of additional charges before delivery
- Delivery time
In the end, I decided to go ahead with the first order as I really preferred the AG over any other make. I was quite happy with the result. Not paying extra charges was a win, but at least I know what the charges would be as they would be VAT + £8 for the RM fee.
