I am in a position to be the first person to share air gradient data for the country where my sensor is located. However, I notice that the sharing option says " Share data with the[AirGradient API, AirGradient Map and 3rd parties."
I would be happy to share data with the map but absolutely will not consent to sharing with third parties. Please can we have the option to eliminate third parties from the sharing option?

You should be able to expand the checklist and select individual data sharing options.

The way you have structured the questions is potentially problematic from a legal perspective. It could be interpreted that if the first checkbox is checked (Share data with the[AirGradient API, AirGradient Map and 3rd parties.) one is explicitly agreeing to share data with all of those entities (thus being in conflict with the other boxes).
If you only select a few of the children, the parent checkbox is only “half checked”.

So in my opinion, the implementation is correct.
By the way, any organisation can take data eg from OpenAQ or scrap our map app. So it could still end up in another application but we don’t directly share it with others.
