Only center LED(s) of the LED strip light up. When I turn the LED off and on the whole light strip turns on for a few seconds, but then again only a few or only one LED lights up.

That display doesn’t look like the stock layout. Are you running custom firmware or modifications?
Or the ESPHome firmware?
If the ESPHome, try changing the LED Fade percentage to 10-20% and see what you think. It is set in Hole Assistant
@MallocArray Thank you very much! Indeed it is ESPHome based on your firmware settings (great work by the way!). And it was indeed the LED fade setting which had changed from 0 to 20. Maybe this happened by accidentally when I did something in HA. Really glad it’s not a hardware issue 
If you changed the LED brightness overall that could also impact it. Mine is still at 20) and I have the bar with the fading out to the sides, but if the brightness was overall turned lower, then 20% even lower could result in it being Off entirely.
