Learning about my indoor air quality - CO2 results from the past month

This post isn’t asking anything in particular, however I just wanted to share what the data looks like for me. It has been awesome to learn more about my own indoor air quality along with adjusting my home conditions to improve results.

I’m most surprised by CO2 and how quickly it can go up when I keep windows closed. I guess I have a fairly airtight apartment. I noticed over night my CO2 readings would go up to unhealthy levels. I’ve experimented with keeping my bedroom door open, and opening windows at different ends of the home to create a draft. This has been effective!

Hi @mckeont, thanks a lot for sharing this. This is exactly how I felt when I had my first CO2 monitor a few years ago (unfortunately, my first was not AirGradient, it’s from SwitchBot ).

My place is a very small single-room apartment with an exhaust fan. I occasionally turn that fan on to ventilate the room. There’s no doubt that the small fan really helps a lot with reducing CO2 levels in the room.

I mean, before having the sensor, I always knew that this fan was supposed to ventilate the air, but it’s quite fascinating to see what changes in numbers.
