This is particularly relevant to me as Jeff is how I originally discovered AirGradient when the original DIY model was released

Nice review from Jeff, and interesting design of the Air Lab. It’s nice to see new ideas in that space.
I am honestly considering buying one so I can have a similar expierience that I have at home. Especially when driving a car i would like to know how much CO2 I am exposed to. But I guess I can get that already if I just take my AirGradient One on a drive with a power bank.
For around the same price you can get an Atmotube Pro 2 which is battery operated but no screen, need a mobile device to view the output
Atmotube PRO 2 – Hyperlocal Air Quality Tracker
But a battery pack with an AirGradient is full doable as well. I’m considering bringing mine on a car trip as well.
More thoughts on the topic “Taking my AirGradient One on power bank fueled road trip”: Would be interesting to see how long the device lasts (or in other words how much power it consumes). And if I create a hotspot on my phone with the same credentials as the wifi in my home AND if I set up MQTT correctly I might not even lose any data points?
I was thinking you could plug the AirGradient monitor into a USB port in your car. Save needing a power bank
I appreciate the approach to make the information more accessible and understandable. I think this is a very cool, albeit pricey, device.
