Is my PMS5003 failing?

I purchased an AirGradient ONE in late 2023. It has worked without issue until yesterday. I moved the unit to a new location to get some air quality readings and when reviewing the data in homeassistant, I noticed that the PM readings were suspiciously low (PM0.3 in the low hundreds, PM1, 2.5, 10 at zero).
I don’t have another PM sensor to compare against, so I’ve left the sensor outside for a few hours. It still consistently shows much lower readings than it has for the last ~1.5 years.
The model#/serial on the outside of the unit reads: PMS5003-2023081102183 which I believe predates the current calibration issues. Though for what it’s worth, I have tried changing the calibration values in the dashboard to no avail.

Is this a known failure mode with these sensors? or is it a software issue? I don’t wish to spend the ~$40 on a new sensor unless it’s completely necessary.

Thanks in advance.

What is the new location like? With my sealed house and a high quality air filter in my HVAC system, I often get 0-2 in my home when it is 5-15 outside.

So it may be valid. You could also temporarily move the sensor outside to see if numbers start rising

Mine started reporting similar numbers when I moved and replugged it a few months back. Everybody says it was probably reading correct numbers after moving…

What were you reading before and where in the house was it?
