How do I figure out what time my indoor sensor thinks it is?

I just integrated my indoor unit into Home Assistant, and I set up a ‘bedtime’ automation to turn off the screen and LEDs at night. The automation turns off other unrelated devices as well.

The automation works fine for the unrelated devices, but for the Air gradient it shuts off the LEDs/screen during the day rather than at night.

Home Assistant displays the correct time, and Place>time zone is correct in the AG app, so I’m guessing it’s the time in the HA integration that is off, but I can’t see where to find that information.

Firmware is 3.1.13 and configuration in HA is set to local.

Any suggestions? One mitigating factor could be that my Internet has been out for the past 24 hours, so if AG needs to phone home for that info, I guess that’s the problem.

Thanks!

Yes, the night mode is coming from the AirGradient server. The hardware has no real time clock so it’s dependent to get the information from our server.

Good to know. Thanks! It’s probably low on the list of priorities, but I’d love to see the ability to choose for AG to get its time locally, e.g., from my router Home Assistant. I’m not an engineer so don’t know if that’s possible. (My other devices have a hub, which was offline when my internet was out, but they also operate on bluetooth so can get the correct time from my phone.)
