First setup wifi connection failure

I just got the device in the mail, connected all the parts of the v9 kit, and plugged it in. Went to the website and ran the firmware update. I had to do the Boot button troubleshooting, but it fired off correctly after that.

The issue I am running into is after I connect to the wifi hotspot, it just opens an MSN website. No matter how many times I try. Has anyone else had this issue or is there a way to add the wifi data in later? I have gone into the console and I just see it stating WiFi disconnected over and over. After 5 minutes it restarts and I lose access to the console.

Do you have any other devices you can connect to the hotspot with? Maybe another phone or a laptop? It shouldn’t be able to get to the MSN site if you are really connected to the AirGradient’s wifi for that first setup.

The device rebooting after 5 minutes if not connected to your wifi is by design, to reboot the device if it got stuck somehow.

So, by connecting to the console, I was able to do the reset and see an IP address. I connected to it in Chrome from my laptop, went to the Wifi setup, and configured to see the AP I use. Let me do a reset on it, and try an alternate device.

After connecting I just get the following info over and over.

WiFi connected!

Looks like you need to register it on the AirGradient Dashboard so it is configured and then it won’t get an error code 400 and should stop the watchdog reset

How to connect the DIY Sensor to the AirGradient Dashboard

Do you by any chance have the computer connected to Ethernet at the same time? This happens on Windows in these cases. Try to unplug the ethernet cable when connecting to the monitor.
