Firmware updates without sending data

Hi everybody,

I don’t want my device to send out measured data, but I would still like to receive firmware updates.

Does anybody know if the following settings make that possible?

postDataToAirGradient": false
configurationControl": "local

I’m not sure if you could set ConfigurationControl to Cloud, but PostData to False.

You can flash the firmware manually on this page, although it is one version behind currently:
AirGradient ONE (I-9PSL), Open Air (O-1PST) and Open Air Max (O-M-1PPST…) Firmware Versions

Or you can build and flash the firmware yourself directly from the repo
arduino/docs/howto-compile.md at master · airgradienthq/arduino

Thank you for your answer.

I’d prefer to keep updating to work automatic mode.

With my settings from the first post I’ve observed this for a couple of days. With 3.3.9 it sometimes displays (similar) “Firmware up-to-date”. This appears like it is at least checking.

I can see there’s a 3.4.0 and a 3.4.1. I’m just not sure where I can see if those have been released for automatic updates already.

They have not so far. The only way I know to check what should be pushed is to go into the Dashboard and change the setting to not get automatic updates but pick one manually and the. It lists the available versions you can set. There you can see what has been fully released and then cancel out to keep the automatic option.
