European distributor

Yes no problem. You can order from our online shop directly to your friend in Thailand.

Thanks Achim. What’s the current delivery time as she’s leaving Thailand in five days?

Considering that we have now weekend and cannot ship before Monday, I think this will be risky.

What is the estimated delivery time to Thailand since we place an order? I have a colleague visiting Thailand between 13-15 March. If I order an Airgradient One by this weekend, will it be delivered before my colleague leaves Thailand?

We ship out of Chiang Mai. So it should reach all destinations in Thailand within 3-4 days.

Any updates you can share on the potential service providers for an EU based warehouse?

I see that you’re actively working on this solution for the US because of the new tariffs, but most of your EU customers have been struggling with (even higher) tariffs all along. I’m sure setting up an EU shipping option would also help you increase your customer base here.

We have had a number of calls with EU warehouse operators and unfortunately it is quite complex as we might be liable for a double VAT charge (first to the country of the warehouse, and then to the recipients country within the EU).

I am sure there should be a way to offset this, but it seems a very bureaucratic process. We are now looking into the IOSS process which might be a better solution.

If the monitor comes all the way to my address in the Netherlands, is it advised to also buy the spare parts necessary for future part replacement (to keep the sensor accurate after years of use?

Ordered an indoor and outdoor kit on September 4 for $303 (272€) to Germany. Received it today and paid an extra of 34,73€ tariff and service fee to DHL

I ordered 7 assembled and 3 unassembled, and DHL released and delivered the packge after a few days with no VAT nor customs duties added. I am in Denmark. (Sept 2025)

How is it going, with looking into delivering from an European warehouse? – it has been almost 2 years since you wrote it.

I must say, that it is, what is holding me back from buy it.

I understand you and I would have preferred a European (German) retailer as well. Especially since I mis-read the shipping and customs information on the webshop “you take care of everything” with “we take care”. To my surprise the mailman wanted another 54,08€ before handing me over the packet. Luckily I had enough cash around the house.

Add that to the whopping 40+€ you have to pay for shipping it kinda adds up. But then again you’re investing in a quality product that is probably going to make a huge difference in your life for the next 10+ years (or so I hope at least). I sure know it changed my behavior already. Whenever I leave my desk I open up the window just so I can enjoy coming back to healthy green LED (instead of 5 or more unhealthy orange ones). Of course I could have made a habit of this before, but nothing beats being backed up scientifically, if you ask me.

Just a quick update from our side. Since a few weeks we deliver all US orders with DHL express delivery and duty paid (we charge the customers for the duty and tax during the checkout). This works very well and we as currently discussing the same process for European customers with DHL. If we can implement this, all charges will be upfront and delivery will be simplified.

Thank you  Glad to hear

Is there any further information on the timing of the introduction of duty paid in Europe? Can this be expected this quarter?

We’re testing this with Germany for a few weeks now. If all goes well, it should be rolled out to other countries in the EU as well.

Hi. Any time lines on when this will be extended to other EU countries? I’d like to place an order for 3 x AirGradient ONE, and would love to avoid headaches with customs, and so I wouldn’t mind waiting a little bit if this is coming soon. (I will be ordering to Portugal by the way). Thanks!

Hi - we just extended this to the UK today. If all goes well, I think we will be expanding this in the upcoming weeks. I shall leave an update here when that happens.

I know it can’t be helped and the new system makes it much simpler for customers, but it potentially makes it a lot more expensive for UK buyers.

I have bought three monitors on three separate occasions and each time I didn’t have to pay any VAT, My orders (via Thai Post and Royal Mail) went straight through customs, with RM (who is responsible for collecting the duties) not charging VAT duties (and subsequent collection charges). I don’t know if I was just lucky those three times, or if environmental sensors of this type are exempt.

20% extra for VAT, plus delivery charges rising 20% (+VAT) from $25 to $30 means a large increase.
