End of life for sensors

Hi! I have been using one O-1PS and and an I-9PSL for around 2 years. They run the current Airgradient firmware with Airgradient cloud integration.
I’d love to know, how can I recognize if the sensors start failing?
Will I get any errors? Will there be missing values on the dashboard? Maybe I will just always get the same readings or will they just start showing absurd values?
Will the different sensors behave differently? (PM, CO2, NOx, TVOC)

Peter

Ps.
I did not have much issues with the devices and I couldn’t be more happy with Airgradients approach. I just would like to know when I need to replace some sensors.
Btw. I’m aware that the dust sensors life expectancy is approximately 3years, but they will probably last longer. However I did not find much info on the other sensors.

Two weeks are gone and no one cared to answer. :sob: Could someone please give me any hints?

None of mine have gone out yet, so I can’t say what they would behave like.

I have had my oldest device show lower PM values than other sensors in the house, but it is in the unfinished part of the basement where we aren’t as much and no HVAC vents, so little circulation.

I’ve had one VOC/NOX sensor go entirely bad, but it just stopped reporting values altogether.

Thanks @MallocArray!
It’d be still great if someone from AirGradient could give us a hint, what happens if PM sensors need replacement.

Hi @Petrus! Apologies, I seem to have somehow missed this thread!

Generally, if there are issues there will be signs in the dashboard such as missing data. Also with PM sensors, we have added an automatic algorithm that detects possible fault and displays a warning in the dashboard:

Thanks @Altair_AirGradient! Great to know!
Ps. no need for an apology & Merry Christmas for everyone!
