CO2 reading 1000+

Hi,

I have both indoor and outdoor units, and lately, I’ve noticed that the indoor units randomly show readings over 1000. Weird as the place where the sensor is well aired, so that should not be an issue. I kept the device outside for 20 mins did co2 recalibration and then let it sit for another 10 mins.

While it was in open air for 20 mins I could see the reading fluctuate between 500-900 which makes me think either the sensor is faulty or there is something which is causing it to jump. I have another outdoor sensor which I am not facing this issue and is close to 500 outside.

Any thoughts what might be the issue, I got it prebuilt from air gradient and was trying the support option from website but was not able to send it through the chat/email widget.

Thanks

I would try the outdoor calibration again. Another user mentioned they needed to do it twice in a row with a few minutes between. I didn’t have to last time I did that, but with a try. While it is outside, it shouldn’t fluctuate much

I did it two times in a row today as well, and as soon as I got in, it shot up to 1000. Outside, it was well over 700-800, which was weird as the outdoor unit was right by it and reporting ~400. Currently indoors, it’s reporting ~800, which is way more than it should be. Looks like the sensor is gone ?

This year, something went wrong in the last few months, as the CO2 sensor went offline and the device had to be restarted. The outdoor unit has performed better compared to the indoor one, which has not been as effective.

Re-calibration didn’t succeed unless it drops to around 400.

I’ve had to do re-calibration multiple times. The first time, it stops reporting data and never recovers. If I re-calibrate again and reboot, then as it boots up it successfully calibrates.

If after calibration you’re seeing ‘700-800’, then it didn’t calibrate. Or it’s broken.
