CO2 calibration in HomeAssistant

I’m running the AirGradient integration in HomeAssistant and am running local configuration.

My baseline CO2 configuration is set to 8 days, but I am getting some expected upward drift, however it doesn’t seem to resolve. I’ve been away from home for 36 hours and my CO2 levels are still high - just under 700 suggesting to me that baseline is not accurate.

My question is if automatic baseline calibration occurs when running the configuration locally?

“I’ve been away from home for 36 hours”
The system doesn’t know that. The way I understand it, calibration will consider current value as the baseline at the next calibration event, which may occur within 8 days.

But what happens if you press “Calibrate CO2 sensor”?

I have a connected question: can you turn automatic calibration entirely off?

You can turn off automatic calibration in the configuration.

Manually calibrating works fine. So my solution for now is to manually calibrate after I’ve been gone a few days. I would think that after being gone for a significant amount of time and still running the furnace that CO2 would have dropped. But I don’t have another sensor to check the values against. So I’m flying blind a little bit.
