Can anything actually be done with the “Clean Air Advocates” points? The page just links to a year old announcement and a forum post with no further details.
Hi @brian! Thanks for bringing this up - the program is still in the works. I’ll check for an update with the team and update here.
Hi @Brian,
This is still in the works and we are moving forward with this. However, we were largely waiting for the app to be released (as we want to integrate the program there). Luckily, both of the apps are on their respective app stores now and we will be looking to push the CAA program further in the near future.
I see I have earned 594 points. Not sure how. But I’m more curious about the 1422 “Missed Points due to Monitors Offline”. The only time my indoor monitor was offline was due to server-side issues (purple LED). I’m not aware of my outdoor monitor being offline except for a few minutes transferring it outdoors after getting it online indoors upon receipt.
Let me donate my points for development of ethernet versions.
Hi @HawkInOz, sorry for my late response. Thanks for letting us know about this. It could be a bug in the Clean Air Advocates Program. Could you please let us know your Place ID via a support ticket (please also refer to this thread): https://www.airgradient.com/support/ Thanks!
Hi @wopr, welcome to our community! Thank you for your feedback about the Ethernet version. I will surely discuss this with our engineers! There are quite a lot of requests for this feature.
An update about the Clean Air Advocates Program points. We are currently looking at ways to enable the program in its first form with basic rewards. We will let you know if there are further details about the program. Thank you!
Hi @Tai_AirGradient . Thanks. I know the response so far seems to have been No (ethernet) but I also don’t think I’ll have any use for points. So if points have any value then I would rather they go into development for something I want. I have in and outdoor models and don’t want wifi at all.
Hi @wopr, thanks! It’s not a bad idea though if we could turn points into some kind of development subsidy.
For the Ethernet matter, may I ask about your use cases that make Wi-Fi (or wireless data transfer) not your preference?
If I could get POE/Ethernet, I too would drop WiFi like a hot rock.
No signal loss issues, gotta run wire to it for power anyhow, less WiFi clutter, orders of magnitude more reliable, and remote resettable via toggling POE (among other things). The need for an outdoor covering AP ($130 or so) is an excessive cost vs. a $10 cable (and either still eats a POE port.
Hi @tadawson, thanks for your feedback!
After we had some discussions internally, we acknowledged the demand for the feature. However, we decided that it might not be our top priority at the moment, since we would like to make the products as accessible as possible for all kinds of users (there are also users who prefer Wi-Fi and wouldn’t like to pay more for the added feature that they are not going to use).
Anyways, the plan for our future products will be a highly modular design, which users can customize to their needs. We’ll see what it’s going to look like.
I can think of zero reasons not to have both, like a majority of AP’s and other network gear does.
I agree, having both is definitely ideal (personally, I also want to see our product with this feature as well). From what I’ve been informed, it is possible to make such a product, but it comes down to the demands, which we think is currently kind of a niche market. So we might not see this feature in the upcoming products (like the AirGradient Go, and the refreshed AirGradient ONE (ONE V10)).
I got prompted in the app to join the Indoor program, which led me to look again at the points I had accumulated for my outdoor contributions. Glad I did, as it seems the weekly tally ended on Apr 26, 2026, with no additional points accumulated after that date.
So, what exactly is the current state of the program?
If it remains active, then why aren’t points being accumulated anymore?
And why expand it to include indoor data if the outdoor data is not considered relevant at this point?
Hi @HawkInOz, please let me confirm with the team regarding the points. And I will let you know as soon as I get more details.
For the question of why we are looking into making the indoor air quality data public (user opt-in), please take a look at this article: Help Build the World's Largest Open Indoor Air Quality Dataset
Thank you!
Hi @HawkInOz, our points program is still under development.
Could you please provide the serial number so we can take a look if there’s an issue? Please feel free to submit it via Contact Us: https://www.airgradient.com/support
Thank you.
Additional update: @Altair_AirGradient has checked and found that the points stopped on that date for everyone. We will bring this up in our team meeting and discuss how to fix it, then we’ll let you know the update. Thank you again for reporting this!
Support request (29557) submitted. Thank you!
@HawkInOz thank you! We discussed this issue in our meeting yesterday. We are working on the fix. Thank you again for reporting this to us. We will try to detect issues like this earlier in the future.
