Capacitors on v4.2 PCB, substitutions?

Just received my v4.2 PRO kit, and getting ready to solder. The instructions say you can add optional capacitors, to help with smoothing out the power and stability, I assume.

I do not have 470uF 16V caps handy, but I do have a 680uF 35V and a 470uF 10V, both new, left over from another project. I’m a newbie to circuits, and wondering if I could use these two for the device.

I am thinking that it might be ok (assuming there is space inside the case for the larger cap) to use the 680uF for the one connected to the USB power at C2, and the 470uF for the one at C1 between the MCU and OLED display?

Or would I be better off leaving the caps off?

I would leave them off first and see if you experience any issues. Most people do not need them.

Thanks, will try leaving them off first. If I do end up needing caps, would the ones I have work as I wrote above?

As an update: I have managed to get everything soldered and the monitor appears to be working correctly without the optional caps (other than the CO2 sensor needing calibration).
