Air travel often has requirements on batteries and digital equipment. Given that this product is marketed as ‘portable’, would it be troublesome to take it on aircraft and turn it on in the aircraft?

Yes, you can travel with the Go in a plane. Due to the battery there will be restrictions on placing it in checked luggage but otherwise it should be fine.
