App does not work on Android without Chrome

I’ve been in the process of de-googling my android phone and disabled Chrome. At some point later I discovered that my AG app didn’t work. (It would open and immediately close.) I didn’t connect the two until I was digging into the app issue and saw something about needing Chrome to update firmware.

The app works fine now that I’ve re-enabled Chrome, but I’m posting here in case anyone else has the issue (or for the next time I have it and forget I’ve already solved the problem once!).

I also have the Brave browser (chromium based) on my phone, but the app appears to need Chrome specifically.

I haven’t tried this specifically, but I use the Edge browser and can still use the Dashboard site. I’m not using it in App mode, and Edge is based on Chromium, but as far as I know, it isn’t using Chrome itself with all of the Google hooks

Ah, it never occured to me Edge could be used on Android. (I try to stay as far away as possible from anything related to Windows!!!)
