Airgradient gen9 locking up every couple of days

Recently acquired a Gen 9 from the store and very impressed with the hardware and capabilities. Every few days my monitor “locks up” with a purple LED on the far left and two green LEDs on the far right. It is completely non responsive. Removing and re-adding power solves the issues - it starts up, connects to network and is available. I’ve looked through the forum and docs but don’t yet see anything useful in troubleshooting. I also can’t seem to find any sort of logging information that might help with troubleshooting.

Monitor is running latest firmware - 3.2.

Thoughts and help for a new fan of airgradient?

Did you try swapping power adapters?

Not yet, but will. What are the specs/requirements? I’m using a spare phone fast charger block at the moment.

Ah, 2A/5V. I’ll check this and make sure it’s getting enough juice.

That is the listed requirements, but it is known that it can run with lower.
Still, not all chargers are created equal, so if you have another to try, it is worth trying out.

Issue seems to have calmed down, maybe a server-side issue? It’s running fine for the last few days. I do recall that one of the times the monitor locked up, it indicated a server communication issue…

I’ll keep watching and swap adapters if it happens again.

What was it doing to appear as unresponsive?

The purple LED is to indicate a server side issue, but it should continue to run and update values
